It can change the two colours on the end of its tail at will, depending on its mood. If it is feeling happy, they are bright vibrant colours; if it is angry they turn blood red. When it swims through the water it leaves a trail of colour behind it, and if it is red it puts off any Pokemon that come near it, because it looks like blood.
It is a very playful Pokemon, and is often seen rolling about on stream banks in pursuit of its own tail. It has water-resistant fur, and has very capable hearing for use underwater.
