A strange phenomenon marked the solstice: The stars seemed to have fallen, and caught in the branches of a giant Mother Tree. The glowing blue orbs cast a bright light that outshone the constellations, gazed down upon by a newly rising full moon.
A hidden instinct pulled at many, guiding them to this one place; a motley collection of creatures, from canines, felines and dragons, to species rarely seen. Even humans felt a strange tug towards this place, and it felt sacred, beautiful.
None could resist – indeed, none wanted to resist. They felt at one with their lives, at peace with their surroundings, and shared mutual feelings of contentment and bliss with those around them; forgetting, just for now, the stresses that life had placed upon them throughout its span.
For it was the time of Starlight, the time for happiness!

I’m... proud of this, to say the least.
Thank you everyone, for suggesting characters! It’s better as a team effort, ‘cause then I don’t have to hunt down all these funky critters all on my lonesome ~
